Position Summary

Photodigm is seeking a hands-on Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing initiatives that support revenue growth and strengthen our position in advanced photonics markets.

This role is ideal for a self-driven marketing professional who can both develop strategy and execute day-to-day. The Marketing Manager will work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Leadership to drive lead generation, refine technical messaging, and expand Photodigm’s visibility in quantum, metrology, spectroscopy, and advanced medical markets.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and execute focused marketing plans aligned with revenue objectives.
  • Refine and maintain clear technical messaging for DBR lasers, gain chips, and tapered amplifiers.
  • Ensure consistent branding across website, digital channels, and trade show materials.
  • Support leadership with marketing insights and performance reporting.
Lead Generation & Sales Support
  • Create and manage campaigns that generate qualified leads in target markets.
  • Partner closely with Sales to align marketing efforts with pipeline goals.
  • Support account-based marketing efforts for key OEM and research customers.
  • Track and report on marketing performance metrics.
Content Development
  • Develop and maintain product datasheets, application notes, case studies, website content, and email campaigns.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, market-facing content.
  • Coordinate technical input from engineering to ensure accuracy.
Digital Marketing
  • Manage website updates and technical SEO improvements.
  • Oversee LinkedIn presence and targeted digital campaigns.
  • Maintain CRM marketing data and support structured pipeline reporting.
  • Monitor analytics and adjust campaigns based on performance.
Trade Shows & Industry Engagement
  • Coordinate marketing support for industry conferences and trade shows.
  • Manage booth materials, promotional campaigns, and post-show follow-up.
  • Identify relevant events in quantum, metrology, spectroscopy, and medical markets.
Market & Competitive Awareness
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive positioning.
  • Provide market feedback to Sales, Engineering, and Leadership.
  • Support strategic planning with market insights.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of B2B marketing experience in photonics, semiconductor lasers, or a high-tech industry.
  • Strong understanding of technical products and precision applications.
  • Experience marketing into OEM, research, or advanced technology markets.
  • Demonstrated success in lead generation and content development.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor laser or photonics markets.
  • Familiarity with DBR lasers, optical systems, or precision instrumentation.
  • CRM and marketing automation experience.
  • Experience supporting long and complex technical sales cycles.
  • Trade show coordination experience.

Position Summary

Photodigm is seeking an experienced Sales & Relationship Manager with a strong background in the photonics industry to drive revenue growth and cultivate long-term customer partnerships. This individual will be responsible for expanding our presence in strategic markets while managing key accounts and fostering deep technical and commercial relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within medical, quantum, metrology, and spectroscopy markets.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and closing.
  • Develop and execute territory and account strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to align customer requirements with Photodigm’s capabilities.
  • Represent Photodigm at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer visits.
Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
  • Build long-term strategic partnerships with clients, OEMs, and research institutions.
  • Understand customer technical requirements and translate them into commercial opportunities.
  • Proactively manage customer expectations regarding lead times, product specifications, and roadmap alignment.
  • Drive customer retention and expansion within existing accounts.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
  • Monitor industry trends in quantum technologies, advanced medical systems, precision metrology, spectroscopy, and other relevant markets.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and market feedback to leadership and product development teams.
  • Contribute to forecasting, pipeline reporting, and strategic planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or related technical field — or equivalent professional experience in the photonics or semiconductor laser industry.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the photonics, semiconductor laser, or related high-tech industry.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor laser diodes (DBR lasers preferred), tapered amplifiers and gain chips, and optical systems and precision applications.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience selling into one or more of: advanced medical technologies, quantum computing or sensing, metrology, or spectroscopy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing network within quantum technology or advanced photonics markets.
  • Experience working with OEM customers.
  • Familiarity with custom or semi-custom photonic component sales.
  • CRM proficiency and structured sales pipeline management experience.
