Photodigm Announces Price Reduction on DBR Lasers Following Strategic Manufacturing Investments and Market Expansion

Richardson, TX — [June 18, 2025] — Photodigm, the global leader in high-performance Distributed Bragg Reflector (DBR) lasers, is pleased to announce a price reduction across its most popular DBR laser wavelengths. This move is driven by substantial investments in manufacturing capabilities and strong market growth, allowing the company to pass cost savings directly to its customers.

In the past year, Photodigm has undertaken a series of strategic initiatives to expand its manufacturing capacity, streamline production processes, and enhance supply chain efficiency. These improvements have significantly lowered production costs and improved delivery times. Additionally, a growing global customer base and increased demand for precision semiconductor lasers have enabled Photodigm to achieve greater economies of scale.

“As we continue to grow and innovate, our focus remains on delivering exceptional value to our customers,” said Bill Stuart, CEO of Photodigm. “Our recent investments have positioned us to produce more efficiently while maintaining the industry-leading performance and reliability our customers rely on. We’re excited to reflect these advancements through reduced pricing on our DBR lasers.”

“Photodigm’s goal is to disrupt the single-frequency laser diode market by offering DBR lasers that deliver superior performance and stability at competitive prices, said Lawrence Fudge, Chief Revenue Officer. “We believe our expanded capabilities and new pricing strategy will accelerate the adoption of DBR technology across a broader range of applications.”

Effective immediately, the updated pricing applies to top selling DBR lasers including: 760 nm, 780 nm, 785 nm, 795 nm, 852 nm, 935 nm, 1064 nm, 1083 nm.  High-power DBR lasers in these wavelengths will be reduced from $3,750 to $2,999, and low-power DBR lasers will be reduced from $2,750 to $1,999.

Photodigm DBR lasers are widely used in demanding applications such as quantum technologies, atomic clocks, spectroscopy, biomedical and metrology—fields where precision, stability, and reliability are critical.

This price adjustment underscores Photodigm’s commitment to supporting innovation and enabling customers to scale their technologies more affordably. By lowering the barrier to entry for high-performance DBR lasers, Photodigm aims to empower researchers, developers, and manufacturers across the globe.
